Rachelle Putnam Chief Information Officer, Vice President, General Dynamics Land Systems
Rachelle Putnam serves as the Vice President, Chief Information Officer for General Dynamics Land Systems, responsible for Information Technology and Cyber Security.
As CIO, Rachelle sets the strategic direction for IT and Cyber Security, drives innovation through the deployment of new technologies, and optimizes technology operations while ensuring data is safely protected. Rachelle is responsible for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across all sectors of the business, transforming business practices into modern ways of working.
During her tenure, Rachelle has led the company through several transformation projects, including multiple large-scale application implementations, insourcing IT operations, migrating to digital engineering, and Generative AI deployments.
Rachelle joined General Dynamics in 2005, after nearly 10 years of implementing Oracle software with consulting firms Arthur Anderson and BearingPoint.
Rachelle is a proud member of the Detroit Chapter of the Society for Information Management and has served as Secretary Chair since 2020. She is on the advisory board for Evanta’s CIO Executive Summit, frequently participating as a speaker, panel member or moderator. She has bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and economics and management from Albion College.
